Hamilton, An American Musical: Angelica Schuyler

This is a drawing of Angelica Schuyler, played by Renee Elise Goldsberry in the Broadway hit Hamilton, the soundtrack of which is currently consuming all of my spare time. It's absolutely fascinating to me how well hip hop and R&B influences heighten the story of America's founding fathers- two things that don't at all seem related on the surface. The writings that surround her in the picture are all quotes from songs she sings in the play. To me, she embodies intelligence and selflessness, and is definitely my favorite character from the play. If you have not heard the Hamilton soundtrack, it is definitely worth checking out.
